Sponsorships Program
First 5 Inyo County is pleased to announce the availability
of funding for event Sponsorships.
A Sponsorship Request can be categorized as an opportunity
for the Commission to support a particular event with the condition
that such event and/or host organization meet at least one of the Commission’s
Goals and Objectives within the Strategic Plan. Applicants may submit
a sponsorship request to the Commission for up to $500.00.
All funds allocated under the Sponsorship Program must
be targeted to First 5 Inyo County children ages 0-5 and their families
and be in accordance with the Strategic Results in the Commission’s
Strategic Plan. http://www.ccfc.ca.gov/inyo/pdf/2003_Strategic.pdf
A specific event can be funded only once in a 12-month
period. Funding is not intended for on-going program and activities,
but for one-time only support. Sponsorship per year shall not exceed
$500.00 per event. An agency may submit multiple sponsorship applications,
however no single agency may receive more than $1,000 in total funding
from the program in any 12-month period.
Please direct all questions concerning the Sponsorship
program to First 5 Inyo staff. Sponsorship
applications and guidelines can be downloaded below.

Mini-Grants
One-time Mini-Grants are available for individuals and
organizations serving children ages 0 to 5 to help them reach their
greatest potential in school and in life. Grants of up to $1,999 are
awarded and are designed to fund short-term projects with a single,
straightforward benefit to young children and their families.
“First 5 Inyo County encourages the development
of community-based creative programs to address the needs of young children
and their families in Inyo County. These grants offer an opportunity
for new development or further enhancement of programs to benefit our
children.”
Funding requests should address First 5 Inyo County’s
priority areas of early childhood education, child care, health, and
safety. (Examples: organizations may apply for grants to purchase tools
to launch a new program designed to promote the healthy development
of children, request funds to purchase equipment or supplies to enhance
child care facilities, or to meet child care or foster care licensing
requirements.)
