Welcome to the Inyo County Clerk/Recorder and Registrar of Voters Department

The responsibilities of the County Clerk Division of this department include issuing Marriage Licenses, filing and indexing Fictitious Business Name Statements, Notary Public oaths and bonds, and environmental documents. The responsibilities of the Recorder Division include reviewing and recording documents into our permanent official records and examining and maintaining birth, death and marriage certificates. The responsibilities of the Elections Divisions of this department are to review and maintain the voter registration database, recruit and train polling place workers, distribute, review, accept and file statements required by the Political Reform Act, set up election ballots, provide ballots to voters, and tabulate and certify results of the election processes in Inyo County.
